The weekend started with mailing our Wedding Invitations!!!
YAY!!!
Jacelyn had Jamz camp all weekend so she stayed over at Brandy's house to hang with the girls and head to camp daily.... So it was a weekend with me and the boys:
Friday I made Pasta Alfredo with Shrimp and they loved it! They played a little while longer and then it was off to bed.
Saturday was errands around the house for awhile. Isaiah and I went to pick up the girls from Cheer Camp and drop them back off to Brandy's house. My girl Tanesha was in town on a sneak trip (Hey TNT) and we went to Killer Shrimp for dinner and to catch up.
TNT and her Cherokee Hair!!!
Brian the Bartender... He loves his some Tanesha....LOL
Killer Shrimp... The Best!!
After dinner, I dropped Tanesha off to her Cousin's wedding reception. It is nice to be able to see people in love and starting off their lives together so Congratulations to Anthony and Telia.
Sunday I was awoken to Leggo time:
Of course from there we got dressed and headed out for errands. I got in Scott's car and he asked me about the Tom's catalog in my car and I told him it was mines and I would throw it away when we got to a trash can. I happened to grab the catalog and the page that had Women's Glitters on them and I saw my babies!!!
So the story started when I was looking for Reception shoes and saw the Ruby Red Glitter Toms... Just the Pop of color I needed since I was wearing Red shoes for the wedding, why not for the reception too..The only issue was is that they only came in Youth Sizes... So I sent an email to Tom's begging and pleading for them to make them in Adult sizes and here was the response email I got.
Hello There,
At this time there are no plans of Red Glitters Women's, however that can change. Unfortunately TOMS do not custom make shoes.
Thank You,Candi Taylor
The TOMS Customer Service Team
So after that heartbreak I was trying to find a way to duplicate the shoe or something and then fate drew me to the catalog and that page open to the winners...
That totally made my day. I was going to try and picked them up while we were out at The Grove at Nordstrom's but they are an online exclusive so I ordered them online and I am awaiting their arrival to my parents house. BOOM!
So we went to The Grove so we could get Scott's work computer from Apple and I saw something else that I would love to have:
This is the Mac Book Air... and that's what it feels like.. Air. Its so DAM BEAUTIFUL!
I admit before I met Scott, I had not thought too much about Apple products (Besides my iPod) and with him being a Computer Genius (No pun intended) I started to look at Mac more and more. He thought this would be a good Mac for me to have, but right now with all the different expenses for Living and the Wedding..it will have to wait. He's a Mac, I'm usually a PC but I will convert for this.
After Apple store and Lunch at Maggiano's (Pasta special is AWESOME), I introduced Scott to Sur La Table
I LOVE THIS STORE..... So many cool things in there for your kitchen and I swear if I hit the lotto one day and get a big house with a big kitchen.. I will shop here for all my needs. We walked around and explored a little and while I was in the ladies room, Scott discovered the kitchen knife section. When I returned I found him testing out knives with Carrots and Cucumbers. He found a nice knife that he love that is a Morimoto knife...
Yes that Morimoto... Who is one of the coolest chefs in the world! The knife is usually 159.99 but it was on sale for 99.96 so we snatch it up.
Dinner last night went from Sunday Dinner to Iron Chef Night!
He was so excited about the knife that he went and put on his apron and chef hat and got to work... Love to see him happy and with a smile on his face.
After cooking, Scott dropped Isaiah off and I picked up Jacelyn and Xzyria to spend the night. They were so tired from cheer camp that they ate and went right to sleep.
Scott and I went over to West Hollywood to meet up with our family Jeamy for his birthday party at Fiesta Cantina:
Jeamy is my Puerto Rico Brotha from anotha Mutha... I Love this dude right here. We met through is ex and instantly hit it off because he is such a good guy and has great positive energy! We hung out with him, Ernesto (Besos) , Kim (Hey Suga Foot) and Robin who is awesome and I was glad to finally meet her after hearing so much about her.
That ended our weekend and here is what is on tap for this week:
