Bachelorette Party Game Guide

While the bridal shower is usually the more traditional time to play organized games, there's no reason you can't do it at the bachelorette party too. The key to pulling off a few fun, organized games at the bachelorette party is to keep them short, make the rules easy to follow and ensure any game you choose can be played with a glass of champagne in hand! Find inspiration below.

The Game: Bachelorette Categories

The Gist: It's a play off of the game Kings, except with wedding- or bachelorette-related topics.
What to Prep: Come up with several (5 to 10) wedding or bachelorette-related categories and write them down on separate note cards. Make them as easy or difficult as you want. Your topics could be anything from wedding dress designers to types of flowers and famous wedding movies. If you want to go more R-rated, add a few (ahem) sexy categories.
How to Play: Everyone takes turns choosing a card and then they have 10 seconds to name an item in that category. If the player can't think of one item for that category, they're out and they have to drink!

The Game: Finish His Sentence

The Gist: It's like The Newlywed Game, but without the groom there.
What to Prep: Ask the bride's fiancé to write down some things about her, with your help. For example, "I love when I come home and [bride's name] is ______." or "My favorite thing to do with [bride's name] is ______ because ______." See where we're going with this? Once you have all of the sentences, write or print out the standard parts on cardstock. Make enough extra cards for each guest to fill in how they think the groom would complete the sentence. If you want to make the game into more of a game show, buy a couple whiteboards and dry-erase markers and have everyone write down their answers at the same time.
How to Play: Read each of the groom's sentences aloud, emphasizing the blank. Then have all players write down their fill-in-the-blank answers and take turns reading them out loud to the group. Keep a score of the guests who get the answers the closest to the truth.

The Game: Lingerie Guessing Game

The Gist: Everyone brings a piece of lingerie they feel describes their personality to gift to the bride, then the bride guesses who gave each present.
What to Prep: Let each guest know ahead of time to bring a bra, panties, a teddy -- whatever! -- to the party as a gift. Distract the bride while you hang each one around the room.
How to Play: Once all the items are on display, have the bride walk around surveying each piece and write down who she thinks brought it. See how many she can get right! Have her take a drink for each one she gets incorrect.

The Game: Never Have I Ever

The Gist: Each player takes a turn completing the phrase "Never have I ever…" with a true statement. The rest of the group has to take a drink if the statement isn't true for them.
What to Prep: Nothing!
How to Play: Take turns coming up with deeds you've never done. With this game, the more scandalous, the better! For example, "Never have I ever had sex at the zoo!" If anyone actually has, they take a revealing drink. If only one person drinks, the rule is she has to reveal all the details. Obviously if it's an all-ages party, tame the tone a little so no one feels embarrassed.

The Game: A Sexy Treasure Hunt

The Gist: A saucy take on the traditional scavenger hunt.
What to Prep: Hide sexy items, like fuzzy handcuffs, body paint and lacy panties throughout the house, backyard or wherever you're throwing the party.
How to Play: Divide guests into teams and give them a list of items to find. The team that finds the most items wins. Up the challenge (and fun) and gives guests clues instead of item names, such as "something adventurous for the bedroom."

Party games for bridal showers are greeted with groans or giggles. It’s all in good fun, and even if party games aren’t your thing, as the guest of honor, be a good sport and go along with what your hosts have planned. Here are some of the more popular, time-tested traditions and entertainments.

The Ribbon Bouquet
The bridesmaids collect all the ribbons from the bride’s shower presents and gather them into a bouquet for the bride to carry at the wedding rehearsal. (My grandmother remembers doing this at her bridal showers!).

Forbidden Words
Arriving shower guests receive a clothespin or safety pin to attach to her clothing. If a guest mentions any of a list of words having to do with a wedding — church, marriage, bride, groom’s name — another quick-witted guest “steals” her pin. The guest with the most pins at the end of the party wins a prize.

Shower Gift Bingo
Each guest is given a bingo card, printed with a blank 5x5 grid, and a pencil. Guests fill in the blanks with gifts they think the bride will receive at her shower. The middle spot is “free” and of course a guest can fill in her own gift. As the bride opens her gifts, players cross them off the card. The first to have five in a row across, vertically, or diagonally, wins a prize.

What the Bride Said
Put a guest in charge of writing down all the comments the bride makes (shh…don’t tell her!) as she opens her gifts: “Oh, it’s adorable!” “My mom has one of those, and I always wanted one.” “How do you wear this?” After all the gifts are opened, have someone read them aloud (or take turns), telling the bride these are the comments she'll make on her wedding night.

The Bride and Me
Have each guest bring a photo of herself with the bride. Provide a blank album as each guest puts her photo in it, she tells the story behind the photo. A twist on this game is for guests to tell a story about the bride and/or groom, say something from childhood, or share something guests might not know about the bride and her fiancé.

Marriage Recipes
Give guests recipe cards and ask them to write their recipe for a good marriage. The bride reads them aloud and tries to guess who wrote what.

Wedding Pictionary
Divide guests into two teams. Provide a large drawing pad, perhaps on an easel. One person draws while her team tries to guess a wedding-related word or phrase: “honeymoon,” “elope,” “pop the question.” Have prizes for the winning team.

Toilet Tissue Wedding Gown
Divide the group into two teams, and give each team four rolls of toilet tissue. Pick two people, say the mother of the bride and mother of the groom, to be “models.” Using only the tissue, the teams design and then dress the models in a wedding gown. The bride chooses the winning dress. Or forget the contest and just dress the bride.

Dinner Dance, Fast 6 and Relaxation

Hello my Blogger Friends and Readers... It feels like its been FOREVER since I posted so lets get started.

 

Friday my daughter went to her 8th Grade Dinner Dance. It is so crazy to me that time has flown by so quickly that I will be a parent of a High School student soon. Here are a few shots from the day:

 

 

 

It was a great night for her and they all had a blast.

 

Saturday Morning I joined Scott at his Softball Tournament. It was a fundraiser for the Children's Collective. It was a long day but a great cause... Here is a selfie of me out at the field.

 

 

Saturday Night we went to a friend's birthday party but had to leave because we got news that one of our friend's mother had passed away. It hit close to home for me because she had the same condition that my Mom had and my mother survived.... It makes you Thankful for sure.

 

 

Sunday I got up and FINALLY did some laundry. I have to admit that I am not a fan of doing laundry but I am glad I got it done. After laundry and a quick cat nap, we headed over to my parents house for BBQ. We also went over to Brandi's house for an Adult Game of Hide and Seek..... You have not seen so much fun until you see adults trying to find places to hide in pure laughter.

 

Later that night, Scott and I headed over to iPic to see Fast and Furious 6:

 

 

I have to say that I did enjoy the movie.. The story line was good and for those that love the cars like I do, It was totally worth it.

 

 

Monday was Scott and I's 7th month anniversary ... Time flies when your having fun. We decided to stay home and hang with the crew. It was a day of Brunch, Dinner, Domino's and Movies.

 

 

 

 

It was a busy weekend and life is good in the world of The Cameron's!

Chartreuse, Bowl and Lemon Pepper

Hey Friends- Here is my weekend recap.

Friday Night was Celebration! We were celebrating our friend Ramone and Scott's new job! (Yay). The fellas got to cooking and the ladies had our Play Date at the table...LOL. Here are a few photos:

Saturday started off with Panther Family Day with Jacelyn and the Cheerleaders getting to show off their stuff. I didn't get to take pictures because I was working the day away but it was a nice event.

Saturday Night Scott and I were invited by our dear friend Esther to the Hollywood Bowl to see The Producers:

Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Leo Bloom, Richard Kind as Max Bialystock and Dane Cook as Franz Liebkind in the musical "The Producers" at the Hollywood Bowl.

Rebecca Romijn portrays Ulla and Gary Beach is Roger De Bris in the Hollywood Bowl staging of the Mel Brooks musical "The Producers."     Jesse Tyler Ferguson is the mild-mannered accountant Leo Bloom in the Bowl's "The Producers."       It was AWESOME! Great time with Esther and a great experience for Scott how had never been to the bowl until that night. The show was funny and Jesse Tyler Ferguson was so good. Sunday was my cleaning day and Thanks to my Sissy... I now have a rolling hamper for our clothes to take to the laundry...Yay Sissy! I decided to make Lemon Pepper Chicken for dinner and here is what it came out to be... Headed to the Oven Dinner is served.. Happy Hubby to Be. Here is what is on tap for this week: 1. On a mission for my Bridal Shower Hat. 2. Work on Flowers... Its not what I thought it would be but a decision has to be made this week. 3. Cheer Season is in full Swing starting Wednesday... O Joy 4. Working on the perfect Gift for Scott for our wedding day. 5. Maybe a nap....LOL Hope everyone has a great week.... 89 days and counting! 

Games, Burgers and We are a Family

Hello Lovies... We are back at Monday and here is a short Weekend Recap.

Friday I went home after work and was EXHAUSTED. I think the excitment of moving was starting to wear off and I was in need of some rest. It was a fend for yourself night at the house so we had a variety of snack foods for dinner (I know its not healthy but what can I say) and my 9pm all lights were out at the crib.

Saturday Morning I got Jacelyn to Cheer Practice and went over to Things Remembered for their Bridal Event. I got a free keychain with my soon to be name on it along with the Wedding Date... VERY AWESOME. I also purchased the Groomsmen gifts there so I was able to receive a free Monogram from them with Scott and I's name and wedding date :

After that, I grabbed Jacelyn from practice and we got her report card in the mail... All A's once again! She is doing an AWESOME job and I am hoping she continues to shine.

After a quick stop at the Church picnic and dropping Jacelyn off to hang with her Dad, I headed home to gear up for Game Night with our peeps. It started at 7 and people were late (Fashionably) but we had fun entertaining at our home together... Sorry there are no pictures, we were so caught up in hosting that I didnt even get to take any pictures.. Next time though

Sunday was some storage switching for us. The guys got things put up while I headed over to Davids Bridal with my Mom to get her MOB dress ordered FINALLY.

I am happy that she is happy with it and it is finally ordered and done... Another thing off the list.

After all that, I was finally able to come home and have a little nap (Told you, EXHAUSTED) and then picked up Jacelyn from her Dad's. Her, Scott and I had Burgers for dinner last night and she said to us: Aww, We are a Family. I thought it was sweet for her to say because we are just that .....a family, It did make for a funny moment when she said that a family that eat Pork together is a real family but I expect no less from Miss. Goofy herself...LOL

Bridal Shower Games and Gifts

Team Jascott are in full swing on Bridal Shower planning and they are looking for Bridal Shower games and ideas to keep the party going and here are a few cute ones I found online:

Showered With Wishes

Get a light colored shower curtain and some waterproof markers. As each guest arrives ask her to write a piece of advice for the bride on the outside of the shower curtain. Make sure to use waterproof fabric markers if you get a fabric curtain, or a waterproof sharpie if you use a plastic one. You can give your guests an assortment of colors to use and have them really dress it up and be creative with their well wishes.Gift this to the bride to use after she is married and she will be reminded of the lovely bridal shower every morning!

Family Recipes

Along with the invitations to the bridal shower, send in blank recipe cards as well. Ask each guest to write her favorite recipe and bring it to the shower. Collect the recipe cards from your guests as each guest arrives, tie them with a beautiful ribbon and put them in a keepsake box. When the gifts are being opened, present the bride with the box of recipes. She will be thrilled with your thoughtfulness and have a great selection of recipes to make for her new husband! To make it a little competetive, after receiving the cards, have the bride read aloud the names of the recipes she received and have her pick her favorite just from the name. Have that person win a prize.This does take a little planning, as you want to give your guests enough time to get their recipe and write it out, but the end result is worth the effort and the cost is minimal.

Taboo & Tokens

Select a word that is considered “Taboo” for the duration of the bridal shower. “Bride”, “Marriage”, “Love” are all possible taboo words. As soon as a guest arrives at the bridal shower, tell her what the taboo word(s) are and give her a “token”. Safety pins, plastic bracelets, even a small ribbon, anything that can be passed around easily makes a perfect “token”. If a guest hears another guest using the taboo word, she can take a token from her. The guest with the maximum number of tokens at the end of the bridal shower wins the game. For a themed shower you can use a “token” that is related to it. So if you are having a Hawaiian bridal shower theme, get leis to use as tokens. For a garden theme bridal shower you can use flowers as tokens and so on.This is a great ice breaker game as it gets guests who do not even know each other talking and trying to get token from people they have never met.

Classic Bridal Shower Bingo

Make a set of bingo cards with 25 empty spaces. Fill in the spaces with wedding related words instead of numbers (veil, gown, groom, diamond ring, flower girl, etc). You will need to make one bingo card for each guest playing, and make sure the gifts are randomly shuffled on each card. Make sure to hand out markers or pens to your guests to mark the cards. Many places have software you can use that will randomly create an unlimited number of bingo cards for you, so if you are not up to doing each one by hand, or you have more than a few guests, you many want to try that instead (check out the fee based, online Bingo Card Generator). Write the words on sheets of paper and put them in a bowl. The bride will be the bingo caller and remove the sheets from the bowl one by one and calls out the words. Guests can tick off the words on their bingo cards. The guest who ticks off all the words first, wins. For a themed shower: Choose words that are related to your theme to put on the bingo cards instead. If it’s a beach themed wedding you can use words like “ocean” or “shells”, for a garden party “daisy” or “roses”. You can adapt this to pretty much any theme with a little bit of creative thinking so that your bridal shower is a hit!

Guess How Many

Get a large bag of candy and a big see-through jar or container. You can use a jar filled with jelly beans, Hershey kisses, gumballs, or even funny shaped sweet tarts. Fill the container with as much candy as you possibly can. Make sure you count the number of pieces of candy as you put them in. As guests arrive ask them to look at the container and write on a slip of paper their name and how many items they think are inside. The guest who comes closest to the actually number wins!If you place a mix of candy in the jar, not only does it give a nice assortment as a prize, it can also make it much more difficult to guess how many are actually inside the jar. Try mixing miniature candy bars with M&M or red hots and it will really be a challenge!

Scrapbook of Memories

Put on the invitations, or contact your guests before the event, and ask that they each bring to the shower a picture of herself with the bride. Get an empty scrapbook and decorate the cover so that it reads something like “BRIDE’S NAME & Friends Forever”, or “With Love To BRIDE’S NAME”. When each guest comes, ask her to stick the photo in the scrapbook and write some fond memories that she has of times shared with the bride on that page. It makes a beautiful keepsake scrapbook for the bride.If possible, you can also try to arrange for a Polaroid camera so that guests who show up without a photo, or don’t have one with the bride can have one taken instantly. That way no one will feel left out.

Supplies:

Questions about the couple's relationship for the groom -- Video recording (either on DVD or flash drive) of the groom answering the questions-- A TV or computer to play the video-- A remote for pausingPre-Party Prep: Film the groom (or have him film himself) answering specific questions about their relationship. Have him start by posing the question, for example, "Where did we first kiss?" and then answering it.

How to play:

At the party, play the video and hit pause after the groom asks the question, giving the bride a chance to say her answer to the group. Then play the rest to see how the groom answered the question. If the bride gets it wrong, give her some sort of punishment, like taking a drink.

Bachelorette Game Idea: Lingerie Shower Guessing Game

The Gist:

Everyone brings lingerie. The bride, using her knowledge of each guest and their friendship, has to figure out who brought her what.

Supplies:

One item of lingerie from each guest-- Hangers-- Enough room to display it all-- Pen and paper (for the bride)

Pre-Party Prep:

Let each guest know ahead of time to bring one item of lingerie for the bride as a gift (a bra, a teddy, panties -- you name it). Distract the bride while you hang each one around the room

How to Play:

The bride walks around the room and surveys all of the lingerie, then writes down who she thinks brought what. Once she pairs each person to an item, she can read her list and see how many she guessed correctly. (She takes a drink each time she gets it wrong!)


Bachelorette Game Idea: Couple's Charades

The Gist:

Split up into teams. Everyone writes down topics pertaining to the couple (their pet, places they've been, activities they love to do). Each team tries to guess.

Supplies:

Cardstock or index cards
Markers

Pre-Party Prep:

Not much! Just gather supplies.

How to Play:

It's just like traditional Charades, only this time the categories pertain to the couple. The first team to 5 wins.

Bachelorette Game Idea: Taste the Cake

The Gist:

Sample cake and try to guess the flavors.

Supplies:

Bite-sized cake pieces (maybe even from the bride's cake baker!)
A display table with pretty cake plates
Blindfolds (one for each guest)
Champagne (or your drink of choice)
Cardstock or index cards and pens (enough for each guest)
Envelopes (one for each cake flavor)

Pre-Party Prep:

Two people, "the hosts," will set up the cake bar and know all the flavors. They will write the flavors out ahead of time, put them inside envelopes behind each plate and run the show.

How to Play:

Each player is blindfolded and walks down the table with one of the hosts, who notes the player's flavor guess. The player takes sips of champagne between bites to cleanse the palate. (Of course, the hosts can sip champagne at any point in the game.) Whoever guesses the most flavors correctly wins.

Bachelorette Game Idea: A Nose for Wine

The Gist:

Everyone votes on the best wine, but they don't know the type, the year or the make

Supplies:

Bottles of wine (have each guest bring one)
Brown paper bags or numbered wine sleeves (optional)
Wineglasses (one or two per guest)

Pre-Party Prep:

Tell each guest to bring a bottle of wine disguised inside a brown paper bag. If you're feeling crafty, make numbered bottle sleeves and have guests slip their bottles inside when they walk in the door.

How to Play:

Guests taste each bottle of wine and votes for their fave. Once the winner is revealed, the person who brought it explains what kind of wine it was and how much it actually cost.
