Draft, Braids and the Game of Life

Hello Bloggers, Here is my weekend recap.

 

 

Friday Night I came home after a long week and participated in a Fantasy Football Draft. Now anyone that knows me well knows I have a great love for Football so it was exciting for me to do. I am the only girl in the league and the guys are so surprised that I have a knowledge of football.

 

Saturday I got up early and got the day of Hair started. Jacelyn got her hair done in preparation for High School (I am a parent of a High School student! ) and my hair re twisted for Las Vegas for the wedding!!

 

After hair appointments, I went over to my favorite dress shop to pick up my bridesmaids dress and it fit perfectly.

 

 

 

 

After a little Mother Daughter time, I went home and did laundry and watched Cooking shows... Life of a married mother.

 

Sunday I finished up laundry and we all headed over to Auntie Bunnie's house for Snacks and Game Night. It is always nice to spend time with family and even better when they love you like she loves us.

Date Night, Designer Duds and Dad's Birthday

Hello Blogger Family... Here is my weekend recap:

 

 

Friday Night Scott and I went out to our favorite place, Smitty's, for dinner. Of course he had the Pot Pie and we had our Trinitas wine:

 

And after dinner... We went to Pop and Champagne and had Dessert and Champagne:

 

Saturday we got up and got our outfits together for Scott's Mom wedding. I went to check on my dress and it is almost ready. Scott went and got a suit for the event.

 

We also came home and made burgers that we saw on a Bobby Flay show.

 

Ours didn't look exactly like Bobby's but they were good. Sorry I forgot to take a picture.

 

We also watched "The Karate Kid"

 

 

I have to admit that I like Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan together... Very cute duo.

 

 

Sunday was Dad's birthday so I went over to his house with the family yo watch football and fry fish... He is very simple like me so it was easy to please him for his birthday:

 

 

 

All in all it was a great weekend.

Good Morning My Blogger Loves.... Here is my Weekend Recap:

 

 

Friday Night I went by Sheauen's house for a Welcome Home for a visit Kenny Park fiesta.

 

Kenny Park is a friend I met through Sheauen how is in the Army. He is fighting for our country and doing us all proud! Here are a few pictures from the night:

Saturday Morning Scott and I got up and ran some errands... We went to the Grocery Store to restock the fridge and later that night he made some awesome Tacos for dinner while we watched the NFL Hall of Fame Ceremony:

 

 

 

Sunday was a pretty chill day since we got alot of stuff done on Saturday. The NFL season kicked off and I was juiced about it. After the game, Scott and I went on an impromptu Date Night to Salt Creeke Grille. They had some great food and the atmosphere was good. Here are a few shots:

Dinner Night, Movies and Moonshine Jungle!

Hello All, Here is my weekend recap:

 

Friday Night I was busy as always with a Panther Dinner Night at Chili's. Scott had to work so Jacelyn and I went... You got to love modern technology and how it takes over my date:

 

 

Saturday Morning Scott had to get his car serviced so while we waited, we went and had some breakfast and celebrate our 9 month anniversary.

 

 

 

As you can see, he was all about being a little silly with his food.

 

After Breakfast, we took a walk on the beach, picked up his car, did some work around the house then headed out to see Grown Ups 2

 

The movie was pretty funny and it was nice to have a night out with Scott.

Sunday we stayed close to home since Scott was on work watch but that night, It was all about the Moonshine Jungle.

 

 

Scott got tickets from work for us to go see Bruno Mars in concert... In the VIP Suite!!

 

It was such a great concert and so many things to see... Here are a few pics I was able to get from my phone.

Sissy is Home!!!

Friday started off with a BANG with my Sissy coming home for her birthday. I know I just saw her last month for the family reunion but it was good to see her again. She had a ruff day of travel so I went ahead and gave her the birthday surprise that I knew she would LOVE:

 

Anyone that knows my Sister knows her love of Wonder Woman. My dad use to call her Wonder Woman and I Superwoman.... I guess the names stuck.

 

After gifts and hugs, I took her over to my nail shop so she can get an AMAZING Deluxe Mani/Pedi... Needless to say I think she enjoyed it!

 

 

Saturday Morning I got up and went to run some errands for the house and Saturday Night, the crew got together to see and celebrate my sister being home. Here are a few pictures from the day:

 

 

 

 

Sunday was Movie Day at our house... My parents and sister came by to watch Olympus Has Fallen and TED:

 

 

 

I know I am super late but this bear right him..... TOO DAM FUNNY! I was slightly disturbed but love the dark humor of it all.

Wings, Pinenut and Steak!

Hey Blogger Loves... Here is my weekend recap.

 

 

Friday was a pretty easy evening. We were kid free so we did what all parents do when they have no kids....Stay home and Watch Netflix. I ordered Wings for us to have for dinner and we watched Dead Man Down:

 

The movie was pretty good, I don't know how I feel about Terrance Howard as a villain but still a good one.

 

 

Saturday we got up and went and helped our friend Bruce get over to his show he was performing at later that evening. We got to go into the recording studio that he uses and I wanted to get all Mariah Carey in there but knew better....LOL

 

 

Later that evening we had 2 events to go to... First up was David and Renee's.

 

They have a nice new home and invited us for their Gender Reveal Party. This is a new thing to me where parents announce to their family and friends the gender of their baby....

 

 

 

I am happy to announce that Baby Pinenut Fricks will be a Princess!!!!! Yay!!

 

 

After the party, we headed over to hang with TNT at Karaoke. The place was packed with people but we still had a good time.

 

 

Sunday morning we got up and headed out for a little lunch, picked up Jacelyn from her friends and dinner for the night. We were going to go out for Date Night but plans changed so we did dinner at home.

 

The menu was Tri Tip Steak with Grilled Onions and Mushrooms. Sour Cream and Chives Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Corn with Cotija Cheese and Chipotle and Poblano Butter... Good Stuff.

Recharge and Reunion

Hello my Blogger Family!!

 

This weekend I spent some time recharging my body. I was crazy busy leading up to the Family Reunion and honestly was moving non-stop while I was there so my body finally said sit still and rest. Since the weekend was uneventful. I thought I would recap my family reunion weekend with you all.

Jacelyn went ahead of Scott and I with my Parents and Grandparents on Wednesday and we flew out on Thursday Morning. This was Scott's first trip to Texas so I think there was a bit of a Culture shock for him. After getting our bags and heading over to the rental car company in Humidity, we were on the road to the hotel.

At the hotel... We learned the story of Pa and Gram... They are the resident Swans that live at the Embassy Suites.

 

After checking in and feeling the wonderful air conditioning, Scott and I walked over to a restaurant called The Burger Palace for Kobe Beef Burgers and Thick Milk Shakes.... Of course we would find all things foodie on a trip...

After lunch and meeting up with a few people for Happy Hour, my sissy introduced me to Sweets Cupcakes.

 

The cupcakes there were AWESOME!! I took some back to the hotel to share and they were a HIT.

 

As if we didn't have enough food for the day, There was dinner at Pappadeauxs.

 

 

My husband had his first ever Swamp Thing and I had to finish it for him.... I think it was not all he thought it would be.

 

 

Friday Morning we all got up and caravans over to Blue Bell Ice Cream.

 

So for anyone that grew up in the South, You know about Blue Bell Ice Cream and how great it is. They gave us a tour of the plant and at the end of the tour, you got a free scoop of Ice Cream!! If you wanted more than one Scoop, it was 1.00 more for that. Here are a few shots from the tour.

 

After Blue Bell and another trip back to The Burger Palace (Scott could not get enough) We all headed over to my Cousin Jean's house for the welcome dinner. I only got a few shots because I was being a social butterfly but it was a great event:

 

 

I also forgot to mention that while we were there, Scott ordered me some roses and had sent to the room when we came back from Blue Bell.... It was a a beautiful surprise.

 

 

 

Saturday we took a trip to Crockett to see where it all began. We all put on our Jersey's and headed out on the bus. Here are a few pictures of the family:

 

And as you can tell.... Scott took a nap on the ride.

 

 

Saturday Night was the Family Banquet at the hotel:

 

 

Sunday we headed over to my Cousin Wilma's for Supper and ate once again.

 

Monday we headed back home to Los Angeles and of course I took my roses with me.

 

I cant wait for 2015 in Los Angeles... the plans are coming together and it will be great.
