The Collection of Addresses
So our printer/cousin Clarise let us know that our Save the Dates would be ready soon (Yay) and in my attempt to be an unstressed bride (At least a large part of the time) I asked everyone to send me their addresses so I could have them and be all ready to go. I am happy to report that I have now about 85% of the addresses I needed.
My question is Why is it so hard to get someone to give you/send you their address?? Come on people, work with me on this. All I want is for you to be apart of our special day and I need your address....LOL
Am I alone in this or is anyone else having this issue as well?

Photo of the Week
This Photo of the Week is of the Birthday Boy, Mr. Isaiah Scott Cameron. Today he is 5 years old (A Big Boy). I actually met Isaiah for the 1st time on his 2nd birthday and remember it like it was yesterday... The jumper brought is together.They say that when you have a child and then have/gain another, you don't know how you will be able to share that love for 2 but I do for him and for Jacelyn. Even thought I am not his birth mother, I am his step mother and I love him like a mother does.

Room Block is SET!
So, for those that don't know, Scott and I are getting married at a hotel. I know some will say, everyone does that but I thought about Pros and Cons for Hotel weddings and here is my lists:
Pros
1. One Stop Shopping - No driving from one location to the next for guest
2. All Inclusive- Don't have to worry about too many vendors
3. The Space is AWESOME
Cons
1. No church wedding... I'm good with that
So after a looking at a few venues that were in our Price range that were , to put nicely, Were run down (Seriously, one place had a hole in ceiling the size of Texas) we came to the Doubletree, which was The Radisson at the time and was SOLD.
The space is BEAUTIFUL and for the rate we got and all we got with it... It worked out in the best possible way for us. Our consultant Adrienne has been the best since day 1 and answered every crazy question I have emailed her. Now that we are less than a year out, I got a email from her team this morning telling me that the Room Block link was set and I could send it out to my guest...YAY!! This is another one of those things I can cross off my list of a million things for our special day.
I am happy that everything is coming together and that I will be Mrs. Jasmine Cameron

There is much value in having people be there for you and by your side when you feel like things are not working out the way they should. Its also important in life to know that when times do get tough and people try to bring you down that someone is there to lift you back up.

Groom Basics: Real Grooms Tell All
How do guys really get involved in the wedding planning process? How about dealing with a planning-crazy bride? And how do they relax leading up to the wedding? Here, recent grooms dish their best tips and advice.
On getting involved . . .
"Let's face it, the color of the linens and the choice of stemware isn't exactly as important as, let's say, your first pick in fantasy football. But if she asks for help, do all you can to make it easy on her. Run all the errands that don't involve making a decision. Tasks such as stuffing envelopes can save her a lot of frustration and headaches."-- Nate, Miami
"I talked her into relinquishing complete control of the rehearsal dinner -- we had an outdoor bonfire and hog roast, complete with cheesy pig invitations of my choosing. That is something I've wanted to do for a long time and really enjoyed planning."-- Todd, Atlanta

Celebrating All Weekend
This weekend we put some of the wedding stuff aside to celebrate Isaiah's 5th birthday which is coming up on Wednesday. Since we had him this weekend, we took the time to celebrate 2 days in 2 cool ways.
Day 1 was a trip to Pretend City!! . If you have Kids and live or visit the Southern California area I highly suggest you go here.. IT WAS AWESOME. The kids get to pretend to be everything from a Doctor to a Sushi Chef. Here is a video of the kids serving us Sushi....
Day 2 was a trip to Magic Castle for Brunch and Magic Shows. Thanks to our friend Ed Ramon, we were able to experience this exclusive club and have a great brunch. Nothing like Mimosas and Magic to get a birthday going.
All in All, it was a great family weekend and it was nice to get out together and have some fun. It was a great distraction from all the plans we have going on and Isaiah had a blast.
Props to Scott for being the best dad to the kids and showing them a great time this weekend. Gotta love him!

Friday a DJ Saved My Life...
I am happy to report that WE BOOKED A DJ.
That is a big weight off my list of things to do. I am a music fan and it was important for me to have music at our wedding. Our DJ... DJ Kurt has many great references and comes highly recommended through Gig Masters (A great service to use for your entertainment needs).

Some weeks are longer than others but this particular week seemed like it lasted FOREVER. With that in mind, I am excited for the weekend and celebrating Isaiah's 5th birthday. It will be some good family time for all of us to have and I might be able to squeeze in some stuff off my wedding check list to get done as well.
Something about myself that I have to learn is that I need to make sure to get myself some rest. I was so run down last night that I was in the bed early and in some pain. I have to admit to myself that it is OK from time to time to say no and that I need to do better for me... I plan on living my life with Scott for a long time so more rest is needed.
In the meantime, I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Sundays Best
So my Bridal Party is throwing me a " Fancy Fiesta Bridal Shower" that will require my guest to wear Sunday Hats for our ladies day. I have been online looking for a hat and here are a few that I found. I figured that I would wear White since I am the Bride, Which one do you like?
